How Much Money You Could Get For Your Hardship
Impairment through personal injury can be a very painful, confusing time of life, in more ways than one. With an economic down turn on our backs, the last thing any household needs is someone out of work, especially if you are just scraping by as it is.
There are rules put in place by the government to make sure you are looked after in these circumstances. These include: statutory sick pay at work and government benefits set up to help the injured. There is a lot of bureaucracy involved in these processes though, and many employers do not have sympathy for the period of time it takes for emotional scars to heal.
In these circumstances or any others, where you feel there is not enough funding to help you out through your time of hard ship, it could be time to turn to those who really know what they are talking about. Professional companies such as www.personalinjurylawyers.com can give you honest unbiased information that can really help in circumstances where you feel there is no else to turn to. Claiming compensation can relieve the stress of monthly bills and really bring a sense of justice to a situation.
Although all cases are different, there have been enough claims for a small amount of general information to be totalled. The average claims for each type of injury are as follows:
Almost Negligible – If the injured victim makes a full recovery of all injuries and symptoms caused by those injuries within a few weeks or months of the accident taking place, it is classed as almost negligible. The amount of compensation you can expect could be between £1,200 – £4,000.
Minor – A minor claim is where the injured party’s recovery takes up to two years for so called minor injuries. If this is the case for you, you could be looking at around £4,000 – £6,000.
Moderate – If the pain or stiffness caused by your injury is acute or continuous then your claim for personal injury will be classed as moderate. Please be aware your symptoms have to be seen to have a full recovery in sight at some point for this to be the case, otherwise, you may have to look into the serious category. The average compensation amount for a moderate claim is roughly £6,000 – £12,000.
Serious – If an accident resulted in unceasing acute pain, exertion in movement, and requires further, constant or continuing treatment you could be looking at a personal injury claim under the category of serious. If a full recovery from your injury is not a definite possibility you could be expecting compensation in the amount of £12,000 – £21,000.
Very Severe – Loss of quality of life, permanent or serve disability or a significant impact on the ability to work on part of the injured party are all classed under the very serve category of personal injury claims. If this is the case for you, you may be able to expect compensation somewhere in the region of £45,000 – £140,000.

I’ve been involved in a personal injury suit before and they are just awful. I appreciated my attorney so much, though, because I never would have gotten as much money as I did if I’d tried to do it without him.
PS I didn’t know you were British! I’ll have to read your posts with an accent, now.

Okay so yesterday, I was brushing my hair…and I have a lot of hair! And I flipped my head a little and this heavy mop of hair must have thrown me off balance, and now I have a major crick in my neck. Who can I sue and how much do you think I can get?
Really, I actually was involved in a lawsuit before for a car accident. My then 8-month-old and I were lucky to be alive the way this guy hit me and the speed he was traveling, but my son and I only had a couple of bruises each. Yes, my neck hurt for a long time afterward and I needed physical therapy, but I felt so lucky that the pain was all I had that I considered the $5000 to be more than enough to cover my injuries.

Personal injury is really painful and disappointing since some life insurances don’t cover this; and if they do what you can get is only a few dollars as their assistance.

Great point, Wayne. People need to review their insurances BEFORE they need them so they aren’t surprised by this stuff when calamity strikes.
